Just wanted to let you know The Retractions have a bunch of new venues coming up. We've been playing McMahon's in Minneapolis for a while and recently added Paddywagon's in Coon Rapids. Last week at McMahon's was awsome! We had a packed house when we started and they stuck around. Our first time in at Paddywagon's was good too! They had just started with live music so the crowd wasn't huge, but they were very responsive. The management liked us as well and immediately booked more dates, so be watching for them. This week is our first time in at the Star Bar in Columbia Heights. It's a big club and we should have a crowd. Next  we'll be playing Redstone Grill in Eden Prairie. It's a little more upscale, but they definitely know how to party.  We are pumped about the new venues and there are more in the works. But as always, we need your support. Hope you can make it out. Be sure to say hi and mention you saw this on the website.

There have been many changes at our Mpls. Eagles Club in south Mpls. Vince Gillespie (who is responsible for bringing in all the talented musicians for the past 6 years) has been let go as well as John Eicher who has managed the club for the last 30 years.

Entertainment is hanging by a thread. Previously booked dates are not being honored. Saturday 7/25/2009 is The Retractions LAST GIG at the Eagles. They will no longer have entertainment on Saturday nights by the end of August (or sooner).

The Retractions wish to thank all of the friends and fans who have supported us at this venue over the years.

June 13, 2009  The 4th of July is right around the corner and we would like to invite y'all to come out for this early show before you go to see the fireworks. We'll have the exceptional talents of Dan Gaarder, from Trailer Trash, who will be filling in for Ron. Show starts at 5:00 pm and we hope you can make it!

May 6, 2008 - The transformation is complete. Alfalpha Males is officially on the back burner. We may occasionally book gigs under that name with a focus on some of the older material. However, we encourage everyone to check out our new band: The Retractions. We're a combination R&B/Classic Rock band with a little bit of New Orleans, Funk and Swampy Pop thrown in. Hope to see you all soon!
